Caught Up With Your CLE?

Current MCLE Requirements Are 25 Hours (see chart) Consisting Of:

  • At least 12.5 credit hours must be participatory credit hours;
  • At least 4 credit hours of legal ethics (Legal Ethics Credit);
  • At least 2 credit hours of dealing with the recognition and elimination of bias in the legal profession and society by reason of, but not limited to, sex, color, race, religion, ancestry, national origin, physical disability, age, or sexual orientation (Elimination of Bias Credit). One hour of this requirement must focus on implicit bias and the promotion of bias-reducing strategies to address how unintended biases regarding race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, or other characteristics undermine confidence in the legal system (Implicit Bias/Bias-Reducing Strategies Credit);
  • At least 2 credit hours of education addressing competence, one hour of which must focus on prevention and detection (Prevention and Detection Competence Credit) and one hour of which may focus on attorney wellness (Wellness Competence Credit);
  • At least 1 credit hour of education addressing technology in the practice of law (Technology in the Practice of Law Credit); and
  • At least 1 credit hour of education addressing civility in the legal profession (Civility in the Legal Profession Credit).

Last Dash

Section meetings

26 different OCBA Sections meet regularly to update members on developments in specific areas of law. Each section offers opportunities for professional growth, networking with peers and discounted CLE for its members.


Self-Study

OCBA is also offering online self-study MCLE on a wide variety of topics, including ethics, substance abuse, elimination of bias, bankruptcy, criminal law, employment law, family law, and recovering money on judgments. Each recording qualifies for MCLE credit. Each CLE hour is $25 for OCBA Members and $35 for non-members. For a list of all available recordings, please download the order form.
