Judge Rodriguez Honored by OCBA Business Litigation Section
Hon. Luis Rodriguez was recently honored as the OCBA Business Litigation Section’s 2011 Judge of the Year during a joint meeting held with the OCBA Labor & Employment Law Section Monday, June 11, 2012, at the Radisson Hotel in Newport Beach.



During the award presentation, OCBA Business Litigation Section Chair Marc Miles highlighted Judge Rodriguez's willingness to make difficult and potentially unpopular decisions: "There's no waffling when it comes to this judge." Noting Judge Rodriguez's "knack for moving cases along very efficiently," Miles commended the judge on his tireless work ethic as well as his unique understanding that a one-size-fits-all approach does not apply to business litigation.

Following the award presentation and an introduction by OCBA Board member Brian McDonald, Paul Greenwald, partner at Greenwald & Hoffman LLP, gave a talk entitled “Effective Use of Video in Court, Arbitration, or Mediation,” in which he discussed the benefits of telling your client’s story through video using clips from actual cases to illustrate his argument.
