The OCBA mourns the passing of Maurice L. Evans. Maurice Evans was involved in many OCBA committtees and served on the Board of Directors from 1985 through 1993. He was awarded the Franklin G. West Award in 1997. The Franklin G. West Award is the OCBA's highest honor, presented to outstanding attorneys and judges whose lifetime achievements have advanced justice and the law.

His memorial service was held on Saturday, March 9, 2024.
