Each year, Orange County Lawyer magazine publishes an up-to-date list of the OCBA leadership as a service to our readers. It is through the dedication and continued efforts of the gracious volunteers who make up the OCBA Executive Committee, Board of Directors, Section Leadership, and Committee Chairs that the Bar is able to develop networking, educational, and community outreach events throughout the year in support of the OCBA’s mission:

To enhance the system of justice,

to support the lawyers who serve it,

and to assist the community served by it.

The 2024 Executive Committee is led by this year’s OCBA President, Christina M. Zabat-Fran, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Lanvin Group. As OCBA President, she chairs the Board of Directors and is an ex-officio member of all committees. She will be the president of the OCBA Charitable Fund Board of Directors in 2025. The OCBA Board of Directors welcomes seven members with terms beginning in 2024: Justin W. Fong, General Counsel at AmWest Funding Corp., specializing in corporate law and governance; Sara C. Nakada, Senior Assistant Public Defender with the Orange County Public Defender’s Office; William C. O’Neill, partner at Ross, Wolcott, Teinert & Prout LLP, where his extensive commercial litigation practice focuses on reaching business solutions to complex disputes; Alexander C. Payne, partner at Minyard Morris, where he has transitioned from general civil litigation to focus exclusively on family law; Nicole Whyte, a founding principal of Bremer Whyte Brown & O’Meara, LLP, who provides individualized counseling and representation in all areas of family law; Lesley D. Young, Assistant District Attorney at Orange County District Attorney’s Office; and the 2024 OCBA Young Lawyers Division Chair, Eric J. Sather, a family law associate at Stegmeier, Gelbart, Schwartz & Benavente.
