The Rules and Forms Committee of the Superior Court of California, County of Orange, has proposed revisions to the Local Rules of Court. Pursuant to California Rules of Court, rule 10.613, the Court invites you to comment on the following proposed changes to the local rules. If approved, the proposed changes will be effective July 1, 2023.

Revised Local Rule 611.03 – Appointment of General Conservator. This rule was revised to require filing of Local Form L-3016 with all petitions for the appointment of a conservator. The revisions will support Local Form L-3016 by making it mandatory in all conservatorship matters.

New Local Rule 608.22 – Fees in Probate Code Proceedings. The proposed new local rule was created to provide basic guidelines regarding fees in probate proceedings.

New Local Rule 608.23 – Costs in Probate Code Proceedings. The proposed new local rule was created to provide basic guidelines regarding costs in probate proceedings.

The proposed revisions and invitation to comment are posted on the Superior Court’s website at Invitation to Comment. Please note that if you choose to submit the Invitation to Comment fillable form through the Court Public Website, you will need to first download and save the form prior to submission. The most efficient way would be to use the fillable form and clicking on “Submit by Email” when completed.

All comments concerning a proposed rule must be submitted no later than 5:00 p.m. on Monday, April 3, 2023.
