The Federal Bar Assocation, Orange County Chapter, an affiliate bar of the OCBA, was awarded the Presidential Achievement Award for chapter activity at the 2019 FBA National Meeting and Convention in Tampa, Florida. The FBA/OC Newsletter was also awarded the Outstanding Newsletter Award at the convention.

The Presidential Achievement Award recognizes the diligent work and accomplishments that outstanding FBA chapters have made throughout the year. FBA/OC Director Roy Silva accepted the award on behalf of the chapter. At the subsequent FBA/OC Board Meeting, the Board recognized the efforts of President Van Nguyen and all of the officers and directors in planning and executing an outstanding slate of events and programs this year.

This Outstanding Newsletter Award was presented to the top six newsletters among all FBA sections and chapters nationwide. FBA/OC Director Arjun Sivakumar accepted the award on behalf of the chapter. At the subsequent FBA/OC Board Meeting, the Board recognized the efforts of Newsletter Editor Brent Colasurdo and the authors who contributed content to the newsletter this year.
