OCBA member Marie DiSante, managing partner at Carothers DiSante & Freudenberger LLP, received the 2018 National Women in Law Awards Lifetime Achievement award from Corporate Counsel and InsideCounsel. These awards honor women in-house and law firm leaders who have demonstrated a commitment to advancing the empowerment of women in law.

DiSante, who founded the firm with her partners in 1994, has been recognized for her extraordinary leadership and business acumen at the acclaimed employment, labor and immigration law firm. CDF has since grown to five offices across California (Sacramento, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego) and has never wavered from its commitment to employing a diverse workforce and understands the importance of diversity to California employers.

DiSante serves as a founding member of several Southern California business organizations, including the Collaboration of Professional Women (ProVisors), Orange County Law Firm Leadership Roundtable, Orange County Women Lawyers Roundtable and Women Presidents’ Organization, Orange County Chapter. DiSante also is an active member of Vistage, a CEO peer advisory group to which she has belonged for over ten years.
