OCBA member Pearl Mann, Law Offices of Pearl Gondrella Mann, will receive the California Women Lawyers' Judith Soley Lawyer as Citizen Award. Mann was nominated by the Orange County Women Lawyers Association (OCWLA), an affiliate bar of the OCBA.
The Judith Soley Lawyer as Citizen Award is presented to a nominee who has made a significant contribution to her community, extending beyond the practice of law, to devote time and effort to the public good and values through the tradition of public service and involvement, and who exemplified the values and missions of California Women Lawyers. The award is named after Judith Soley, a longtime CWL board member remembered for her involvement in her community and in many bar organizations, including being the first female president of the Fresno County Bar Association.
Mann is an OCWLA past president and lifetime member. In 2013, she received the OCBA Harmon G. Scoville Award for her commitment and significant contributions to the OCBA, Orange County legal community, and the constitutional system of justice. She earned her J.D. from Western State College of Law and her B.A. from Louisiana State University.
The award will be presented at the California Women Lawyers' Annual Conference on Friday, May 4, 2018 in San Francisco.
