The OCBA is pleased to share that Chase Scolnick, Senior Counsel at Keller/Anderle LLP, received this year’s Federal Bar Association’s “Younger Federal Lawyer Award.” This is a prestigious national honor reserved for rising courtroom stars in the federal bar. There were five award recipients in 2017, and Scolnick was the only defense attorney chosen.
The award, given at the recent Federal Bar Association convention in Atlanta, recognizes Scolnick’s extraordinary trial experience and success. Scolnick has served as lead counsel in approximately fifty federal trials and, in separate years, led three of the largest federal districts in the United States in both trials and wins. He specializes in trials, complex civil litigation, and white-collar criminal defense.
Before joining Keller/Anderle LLP, Scolnick served for fourteen years as a Deputy Federal Defender in the Southern and Central Districts of California, and in the Eastern District of New York. He has handled some of the nation’s most serious and complex cases, including insider trading and financial market manipulation, international terrorism, and organized crime. He is a graduate of the University of San Diego School of Law.
