The Orange County Asian America Bar Association, an affiliate bar of the OCBA, installed its 2017 leadership on Wednesday, April 19, at Hilton Orange County in Costa Mesa.
The OCBA is pleased to share that eight OCBA members were installed as members of OCAABA's leadership that evening. Congratulations to Denise Crawford (Orange County Public Defender) who will be installed as OCAABA treasurer and Angela Yu (Kading Briggs LLP) who will join the OCAABA executive board as this year's secretary. Louise Truong (Buchalter, A Professional Corporation), Ryan Wong (United Health Group), John Fujii (Silver & Wright LLP), Serafin Tagarao (Gordon & Rees), and Jerry Yang (Crowell & Moring LLP) will also be installed as 2017 board members.
OCBA Past President Ashleigh Aitken was also honored as the recipient of the OCAABA 2017 Inspire Award. Aitken has been involved with the OCAABA since it's earliest days, according to OCAABA President Thy Bui. She helped to promote the organization inside and outside the Asian American community, and played a critical role in creating the annual Dim Sum Mixer, one of its most popular events.
