OCBA member and Snell & Wilmer Partner Elizabeth Weldon was recently elected as President of the Girls Incorporated of Orange County Board of Directors.
Girls Inc. of Orange County has been a respected member of the non-profit community for 60 years. Their mission is to inspire all girls to be strong, smart and bold. They put their mission to practice by equipping girls to navigate gender, economic and social barriers and grow into healthy, educated and independent adults. Girls Inc. of Orange County positively changes the lives of 5000 girls, ages four and half to 18, each year, by providing year-round holistic programming focused on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math), financial literacy, sound body image, healthy relationships and college and career readiness. Weldon has been part of this non-profit organization for more than five years, serving on the Board of Directors since 2011, serving as their Secretary from 2013 through 2015 and President Elect in January 2015.
