OCBA Members Gary L. Moorhead and Fred W. Slaughter Appointed to Orange County Superior CourtGovernor Edmund G. Brown Jr. announced the appointment of Gary L. Moorhead and Fred W. Slaughter to judgeships in the Orange County Superior Court.

 

Moorhead, of Laguna Niguel, has been a managing partner at Pohlson and Moorhead LLP since 1980. Effective January 31, 2014, he will fill the vacancy to be created by the retirement of Judge Richard F. Toohey.

Slaughter, of Yorba Linda, has served as Santa Ana Branch Office deputy chief at the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Central District of California since 2012. Effective January 31, 2014, he will fill the vacancy to be created by the retirement of Judge Gregory Munoz.
