President's Message Dear Friends of OCKABA, Thank you to everyone who attended our 18th Annual Installation Gala this past Thursday! We truly enjoyed connecting with everyone and are so grateful to have hit a record number of attendees and sold-out our event this year. The success of this year's gala speaks volumes and we know it would have been possible without your support. We also want to give special thanks to our wonderful law school volunteers, many of whom came early to the event to help us set up and of course, give a big congratulation to our awardees, Judge Richard Lee (Judge of Year Award) and Joanne Lee Molinaro (Trailblazer Award)! If you would like to get more involved in OCKABA, please reach out to admin@ockaba.org or anyone on the board because we have several committees you can join. Also keep any eye out as our mentorship program, which is scheduled to return soon, and we expect to hit record numbers this year. CLA SoCal will celebrate its 65th anniversary at Justice Served on Thursday, October 5th at Fete the Venue in Costa Mesa. It’s a 1950s theme in honor of the organization’s founding in 1958 and ‘50s attire is encouraged (but not required). They will have food stations, a chocolatier, a raffle, gaming tables, and 1950s dance performances. We have clients signed up in the areas of business, immigration, bankruptcy, divorce, personal injury and more. Bring your attorney friends and coworkers! Date/Time: Thursday, November 16th at 5:30 PM (Typically held on the third Thursday of every other month) and dinner is provided for volunteers after the clinic.
