Dear Members and Friends of the Hispanic Bar Association of Orange County,
As the sun continues to grace us with its warmth, we find ourselves immersed in the heart of summer—a time for exploration, growth, and of course breaking barriers. Our journey this year has been all about transcending limitations, and July has proven to be no exception. Let’s take a moment to reflect on our remarkable accomplishments and involvement:
Our Annual Orange County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce & The OC Hispanic Bar Association Night of Baseball was a complete success. The Angel’s brought home the victory, and great company made it for an enjoyable event.

I’m humbled and honored to share that I was featured on the cover of the July edition of the OC Lawyer’s Magazine. This spotlight was not about me, but about the incredible collective effort of the Orange County Hispanic Bar Association and our dedicated members. It is a testament to the power of collaboration and the determination to break barriers in the legal world and beyond. Our significant events that have defined our year were spotlighted.
At the heart of the Orange County Hispanic Bar Association’s mission lies a commitment to community service and making a tangible impact on the lives of those in our communities. This commitment was beautifully exemplified in our recent distribution of the donated Bobs Skecher’s shoes to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Orange Coast on July 7, 2023. This collaboration was more than just providing footwear- it was about showing our dedication to walking hand in hand with those who benefit from our collective efforts. As we witnessed the joy on the faces of these children, were reminded that small actions can create ripples of positive change in our community
In the true spirit of collaboration, we continue to support and engage with our fellow affiliate bar organizations. Recently, our commitment took us to OCAABA’s 29th Annual Installation Dinner, where board member, Manohar Sukumar, and I had the privilege to attend. It’s a testament to our belief in the strength that comes from unity, and we’re honored to stand by our colleagues on our path of shared progress and desire to make a difference.
Looking ahead, we are thrilled to announce our upcoming events, and invite you to renew your membership to take advantage of member pricing.
Fast approaching is our Annual End of Summer Mixer on August 24, 2023 at 5:00 pm at Country Garden in Santa Ana. A huge thanks to our gracious sponsors: Regal Court Reporting, Pacific Lighthouse Insurance Agency, and The MOST. This event is a celebration of unity, shared goals, and the power of collaboration, as it is co-hosted by OCWLA, IABA-OC, OCAABA, OCKABA, TMBA, OCLBA, FLOC, and SABASC. It promises to be an evening of connection, inspiration, and camaraderie. Hope you can join us!

As our momentum continues, we’re excited to share a historic collaboration. For the first time ever, we’re joining hands with our surrounding Latinx bar associations- OCHBA, HNBA, MABA, LLBA, and HBAIE- to celebrate a Hispanic Heritage Month Fiesta together on September 20, 2023 at 5:30 pm at Country Garden in Santa Ana. It’s a milestone we’re immensely proud of, and we can’t wait to come together in the spirit of unity and culture. Thanks to our gracious sponsors Pacific Lighthouse Insurance Agency, FCA, and Costa Vista Chiropractic.
Details about our Annual Judge’s BBQ on September 17, 2023, will be announced soon.
As we embrace the fall ahead, let’s remember that change happens when we come together. Let’s continue to cherish these moments, forge connections, and push the boundaries of what’s possible. Our commitment to breaking barriers remains unwavering, and I’m excited to see the impact we’ll continue to make.
Thank you for being part of this remarkable journey. Let’s continue to make strides, inspire change, and create a legacy that resounds far beyond our community.
