Dear Members and Friends of the Hispanic Bar Association of Orange County,
Happy 2023! As incoming President of the Hispanic Bar Association of Orange County I look forward to a great year. It was more than 45 years ago when a group of brave trailblazers got together and formed our organization with a mission that remains the same to this day:
Promoting education, unity, and excellence in the Hispanic legal community by expanding the business and professional opportunities available to its members, enhancing the members’ business and professional stature in the Hispanic community, increasing the participation of Hispanic leaders in civic affairs and enhancing the quality of life for the members and the community.
I feel deeply honored to follow in the legacy of our founding members and past presidents. This years’ theme for our Gala is “Breaking Barriers”. We lived through a historic 2022 and we hope 2023 will be even better, breaking all barriers for our Hispanic community. I am delighted to be serving alongside an amazing HBA Board composed of outstanding representatives of our profession ready to serve our community and the future generations of Hispanic legal professionals. We are planning a great year with many opportunities for all of you to get involved and I look forward to meeting each of you at our events.
As you all know our biggest event of the year is fast approaching. Our 45th Annual Scholarship Fundraiser & Installation Gala will be celebrated March 4, 2023 at Irvine Marriott. Our annual dinner is the principal fundraiser for the Wally Davis Memorial Scholarship Fund and our Bar Stipend. To date we have awarded more than 80 Scholarships to help law students traverse law school. Please join us March 4, 2023 to celebrate these 45 years!
