OCKABA ELECTION
Qualified individuals are now invited to run for open seats on the Orange County Korean American Bar Association’s Board of Directors for either a three-year term or a two-year term, beginning on July 1, 2022. Nominations are being accepted for up to nine (9) seats for Directors At Large. The five individuals with the most votes will receive a three-year term, and the next four individuals with the most votes will receive a two-year term. All active attorney OCKABA members are eligible to run for the Director At Large seats on the Board.
Nominations are also being accepted for the Office of Secretary. Applications for this position is subject to the approval of the Nominating Committee, which comprises the current Executive Officers.
The individual elected as Secretary will serve a one-year term in that office beginning July 1,2022. Following that year, the individual will be expected to continue to serve as Treasurer (2023), President-Elect (2024), and President (2025).
Applicants should fill out either the OCKABA Director Application.pdf or OCKABA Officer Application.pdf and submit their responses to admin@ockaba.org no later than 5:00 p.m. on April 27, 2022. The Nominating Committee will vet and release successful applicants’ responses via a survey platform on May 18, 2022 to OCKABA members, and voting will close at 5:00 p.m. on May 31, 2022. Results will be announced on June 1, 2022, and the incoming board members and officers will be introduced on June 14, 2022.
