It is our absolute honor to congratulate our past president, Judge Maurice Sanchez as he has been appointed by Governor Gavin Newsom as Associate Justice of the Fourth District Court of Appeal, Division Three.

Judge Sanchez has served as a Judge of the Orange County Superior Court since 2018. He was a Partner at Nelson, Mullins, Riley and Scarborough from 2017 to 2018 and at Baker and Hostetler from 2005 to 2017. He was a Shareholder at Alvarado, Smith and Sanchez from 1993 to 2005 and Managing Counsel at Mazda Motor of America Inc. from 1991 to 1993. Judge Sanchez was Senior Counsel at Hyundai Motor America from 1986 to 1991 and an Associate at Rutan and Tucker from 1981 to 1986. He earned a Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law.

Ms. Jeannette Garcia launched her own family law firm in Orange County- Law Office of Jeannette Garcia on November 1, 2021. Jeannette’s firm will focus exclusively on family law matters throughout Southern California, including Orange County, Los Angeles County, Riverside County, and San Bernardino County. Jeannette is bilingual in English and Spanish.
Jeannette is a first-generation daughter of immigrants. She was born and raised in Orange County where she graduated top of her high school class at Santa Ana High School. She graduated from UC Irvine in 2010 and graduated from Western State College of Law with her law degree in 2015. Jeannette has worked in the family law field for over 10 years in various capacities, with the last almost 7 years as an associate and senior attorney at various Orange County law firms.
