“Following a several months’ long nationwide search, we are thrilled to announce Dennis Slaughter as our next CEO/Executive Director. Dennis has the passion, drive and commitment to be a strong leader for our bar. We look forward to his guidance, initiative, and stewardship as we usher the OCBA into the next chapter. I want to express my utmost gratitude to the OCBA Transition Task Force for their integral work and dedication to this important process,” said Christina Zabat-Fran, OCBA President.
Dennis has been with the OCBA since 2008 and has served most recently as the Chief Operating Officer and formerly as the Director of Operations & Technology. His deep understanding of the association and the Orange County legal community make him extremely well- equipped to succeed in this challenging new role.
The announcement concludes a nation-wide, months-long search by the OCBA Transition Task Force, in partnership with Elizabeth Derrico & Associates, to find Trudy Levindofske’s successor, who retired as the CEO/Executive Director this past month. “We once again thank Trudy Levindofske for 35 years of tremendous leadership at the OCBA. The Orange County legal community will forever be grateful for Trudy’s outstanding service. As the CEO/Executive Director, Trudy has without a doubt set the bar high! Her legacy will undoubtedly continue with Dennis’ tenure,” said Christina Zabat-Fran, OCBA President.
“I’m very excited and honored to be named the new CEO/Executive Director of the OCBA. The Orange County Bar Association has a long history of great leadership and stability at the CEO/Executive Director position. I’ve had the privilege of working alongside retiring CEO Trudy Levindofske for many years and have had the chance to get to know the position and what is required to do it well. I look forward to continuing to work with our amazing board and volunteers to help advance the bar’s mission as we transition to this new era. The members of the Orange County legal community are some of the finest individuals I have met, and it is a pleasure to be part of that group.”
