The Appointments Committee, chaired by the President elect, and established in accordance with Section 7.3 of the OCBA bylaws, presents recommendations for appointment to the Board of Directors sufficient to fill any vacancies in the eight (8) appointed directorships. All recommendations of the Appointments Committee must be approved by the Board of Directors to become final. While the Appointments Committee may begin its work before the Association’s annual election, its recommendations take into account the outcome of the election with a view to ensuring that the composition of the Board fairly represents, to the extent reasonable, the diverse composition of the Association, including minorities, women, lawyers in firms of various sizes and sole practitioners, public lawyers, lawyers with various specialties, and lawyers in various geographic areas.
