NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., Jan. 15, 2016—The Orange County Bar Association (OCBA) will install Todd G. Friedland as OCBA President during the 2016 OCBA Judges’ Night and Annual Meeting, which will be held Thursday, January 21, 2016, at the Irvine Marriott.
A graduate of the University of Southern California Gould School of Law, Mr. Friedland is a partner at Stephens Friedland LLP, where his practice focuses on commercial litigation and strategic counseling including contract disputes, unlawful business practices, trade secrets, business torts and real estate matters Prior to forming Stephens Friedland LLP, Mr. Friedland practiced with the multi-national law firm of Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman. Mr. Friedland was also a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Paul Boland and the Honorable Alexander H. Williams of the Los Angeles Superior Court, and a Judicial Extern for the Honorable Alicemarie H. Stotler, U.S. District Court, Central District of California. In addition to his service on the OCBA’s Executive Committee and Board of Directors, Mr. Friedland sits on the Board of Governors for the Association of Business Trial Lawyers, Orange County Chapter, and is a Past President of Constitutional Rights Foundation, Orange County (CRF-OC) where he continues to serve on the Board of Directors. Mr. Friedland has been selected as a Southern California Super Lawyer for the past five consecutive years, is listed in Best Lawyers, holds an Avvo 10.0 “Superb” rating, and is AV Rated by Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review.
Orange County Superior Court Presiding Judge Charles Margines will install Mr. Friedland along with the rest of the 2016 OCBA Officers, Directors, and Charitable Fund Directors during Judges’ Night, the Association’s largest annual event. A special highlight of the evening will be the presentation of the Franklin G. West Award to attorney Richard W. Millar, Jr., of Millar, Hodges & Bemis.
Palace Entertainment’s Michael L. Baroni and Nikki P. Miliband of Good Wildman will assume the roles of President-Elect and Treasurer, respectively, as newly-elected Deirdre M. Kelly of Whittier Law School is sworn in as OCBA Secretary.
